  • This church is one of the popular works designed by Colonel J.T.Boileau in the 18th century, and consists of many traditional components of his design including vaulted roofs, yellow colored stucco, central nave, white sandstone screen, side aisles and much more.
  • This church is often referred to as “Cantonment Church” due to the styles used in building and maintaining of this church. Another similar term coined with the name of this church is “Garrison Church”. Both these terms are used to denote the military controlled environment used in this church in the time of British rule in India.
  • After the entrance of this church, one has to go through an antechamber or a vestibule section which further leads to the main room. Again, this structure is also coined with the presence of military units and armed forces around this area during the time of British rule.
