Top 5 Beaches in Thrissur

The name Snehatheeram means ‘the Shore of Love’ in Malayalam, and the heavenly beauty of the beach justifies the name. It is in the vicinity of Thalikulam and about 30 kms away from Thrissur. Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) maintains the beach. The exquisite charm of the seashore ornamented by the greenery evokes a heavenly ecstasy in your mind. Here you will find a picnic spot, kid’s playground, garden and Waterfront Park. Nearby restaurants serve mouthwatering Keralan dishes.

5. Periyambalam Beach

The Periyambalam Beach is marked by the presence of beautiful greenery. The Casuarina forest creates a wonderful background and makes it a popular picnic spot. You will also find the cultivation of a medicinal herb called Ramacham; the aroma of the herb fills the air with a sensuous ecstasy. Periyambalam is on the Chavakkad-Ponnani highway, about 4 km distant from Thrissur town.
