Bangalore is itself dubbed as the Garden City and you will know why if you have ever been to even one of its beautiful parks. Carefully planned and strategically located, the garden parks in Bangalore are as serene as it can get. Here are our top five suggestions for the best garden parks in Bangalore.

1. Cariappa Memorial Park

Pay homage to the Indian Army and to the genius attempt to reign in nature in symmetrical beauty. Open 7 days a week, the Cariappa Memorial Park is located in Shivaji Nagar and is a sight for sore eyes. The tall statue of Army man, K. M. Cariappa welcomes you at the gateway. A small water fountain, set amidst carefully cropped flowers, attracts the birds to drench them in a cool tinge.

2. Bugle Rock Park

The Bugle Rock Park is famed for its varieties of flora but not so much as the famous Bugle Rock a naturally formed jagged rock which makes the park all the more special. Set amidst nature’s natural perks, this small yet majestic park is not to be missed. The Park also houses an amphitheatre and temple for Nandikesha and Ganapathi. If you haven’t seen bats or miss them so much then you can easily find quite a rare species in Bugle Rock Park.

3. Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens

You cannot leave Bangalore without visiting the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden. After all, it is the most popular garden park in Bangalore and keep in mind that this park houses over a 1000 varieties of flowers. It is dubbed as the Mughal Gardens of South India. The Garden in located in South Bangalore and this does not come as a surprise but the Gardens is also venue to numerous flower shows.

4. Cubbon Park

Cubbon Park is a variety in itself. Located in the heart of Bangalore City, the park is a haven for walkers and for a nature lover. The numerous avenues complete with exotic varieties of Bamboo, Chestnut, Oaks and many more, the Park is a carefully executed to perfection.

5. Lumbini Gardens

A lake itself is beauty unmatched set amidst exquisite scenic beauty of the surrounding places. What about a lakeside park? If you think that it’s not good enough then head over to Lumbini Gardens and be surprised. Just stroll around the lanes or indulge in some ‘water-fun’ while you are at it because the Park also houses a water-themed amusement park. How can you not love the place?

Take a break from the bustling city life and enjoy some scenery. The best thing for those in Bangalore is that you don’t even have to go anywhere. Just turn right around the corner and there you are!
