  • Enttrance Fee: The Forest Department charges 10 INR for Indians and 20 INR for foreigners. If you take the boat to the island, you will have to pay 10 INR per head. The charges are nominal.
  • Visit Timings: Kuruva Island is shut during the monsoons. It is open during the months of October to May. The island opens at around 9.30 A.M. and closes at 4 P.M. in the evening.
  • Visit Duration: Ideally an entire day is best to explore the Kuruva Island.

How to Reach

Calicut International Airport is the nearest to this island and the distance is about 120 kilometres. You can easily avail a taxi or bus.

For railways, the nearest station is Kozhikode. It takes a while to reach the Kuruva Island from there. Bus and cabs are widely available. For reaching the island you will need to get down at the Puzhakkara Devi Temple bus stop. From there, it takes a few minutes to reach the island.
