  11. We are planning to go Assam and Meghalaya during Durga Puja (from 1st Oct to 6th Oct).
    We are thinking to cover Kaziranga, Hafflong, Majuli, Kamakhya temple & Shillong.

    Could you please let me know if there are any other places that we can visit? We can extend our trip, we will start our journey from Kolkata.

    Places to visit are:
    a) Kamakhya temple
    b) morigaon–asia,s largest dry fish market 40 km from Guwahati.
    c) Bordowa-birth place of SANKAR DEV the vaisnavite guru of 16th century–60 km from morigaon
    d) kaziranga–wild life site — 150 km from Bordowa.
    e) Sibsagar–Shivadol -the 600 years old temple -and AHOM KINGDOM seat of power–100km from kazironga.
    f) Digboi–Asias’s oldest oil refinery 150 km from Sibsagar.

    Take a taxi and drive through the entire area.The road goes through some of the best tea gardens in world of companies such as MAGROR, LIPTON and AMBOOTIA.

    While returning to go to Shillong try and visit TEZPUR and TAWANG the place where DALAI LAMA entered from TIBET 58 years ago.

    It is jointly situated in Golaghat, Nagaon and Karbi Anglong.
